First Day as a Teacher
Teaching is a journey that I decided to start with the Syrian students. The first day I went to school as a teacher, I wasn't fully prepared to that. I entered the class and my sister was with me; I told her:" please, don't make me laugh because I will lose my presence beside the students."
I entered the class with just a smile on my face, I greet the students and present myself to them. Then, I did a circle to let the students know each other. It took a long time to memorize the student's names since each section had about 33 students. In this day, I thought I won't know how to deal with students from different environment, but the day passed. When I came back home, I felt that the journey has started and from now on I am owning a great responsibility "the students future".
I started thinking about the teachers I know, what they told me about teaching, how to deal with the students, and the way they teach. In addition, I remembered the ways teacher taught me when I was a student, I remembered the good and the bad ways. But what I did was to think about new methods and strategies to apply. I kept in my mind that I must pay attention to every word I will say in the class because maybe the teacher will be the ideal person for his/her students.
I am developing the world by raising a generation that we will depend on in the nearly future.
Day by day, I knew how to deal with the students, how to be beside them, and how to make the idea in its simplest form to be understood.
Finally, What I concluded is that just a smile from the teachers to the students is a very expensive thing that the students will appreciate. to succeed in your position, you need to love it firstly.
Each teaching day is not a normal day not it is an extraordinary day.
